"Stupid," muttered the apprentince, glaring into the clear water with florescent orbs of an aqua hue. Her jet black fur gleamed under the afternoon sun, her abnormal web-like markings standing out immensely. She clicked her claws together though they were sheathed, and with a lash she had a fish out of the water and on the riverbed. She snatched at it, biting down on its neck and finishing it off.
"I always have to do this kind of thing, when will the other kits become apprentinces," she hissed icily, continuing to glare intensely and catch more fish. Her eyes looked on to the river, and her ears listened to the water gushing past the rocks shooting from the surface. At once, the hair that had risen on her back gently fell, and her eyes closed as she took in the moment, instantly soothed. The river always did that to her, always calmed her and made her feel like everything was okay.

The feline turned in surprise at her leader, and blinked for a second, before turning back and curtly replying,"I supposed not." Her ivory claws lashed out at yet another fish, pulling it to shore with ease as her electric-blue web markings gleamed in the afternoon sun. The she-cat was rather hot, for the vibrant sun's rays cascaded down onto her ebony pelt, which soaked up every source of heat and baked her within her own skin. Indeed this sounded torterous, but it was just natural and not at all deadly for the Riverclan cat.
